Suburbia Lost

After years of photographing abandoned buildings in urban and industrial centers, I began a project to document the ruins left behind in suburban areas. Often far less significant in history and construction, these places are frequently identifiable by cheap materials, corporate design, and unique reuse (if they’re even reused at all). As the suburban landscape of the United States continues to expand further outward, what’s left is a ubiquitous mix of forgotten fast food restaurants, strip malls, and gas stations.
