Fading Ads of Cincinnati

In 2014, I was recruited by The History Press to author Fading Ads of Cincinnati. The idea of documenting “ghost signs” had long been on the “potential to-do list” of Queen City Discovery, but I had yet to do any serious research on the subject. As part of the publisher’s series, I found myself looking up at walls and delving into historical records, sharing stories that were still clinging to the bricks of structures within the city.

The book was published in late 2015 and is available online via The History Press and Amazon, in addition to being physically available at Cincinnati-area Barnes & Noble, Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Target, Kroger, and Walgreens locations. It can also be found at the American Sign Museum, an institution that’s well worth a visit.
